Satair has appointed Tommy Hughes as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In this role, Hughes will be responsible for steering Satair’s global commercial strategy and leading its customer success efforts, reinforcing the company’s dedication to service excellence and long-term industry partnerships.
Bringing over 35 years of leadership experience in the aviation sector, Hughes has spent the last decade as CEO of VAS Aero Services. His extensive background and deep understanding of the aerospace market position him strongly to enhance Satair’s commercial operations and customer engagement.
Hughes takes over the role from Paul Lochab, who served as CCO for nearly ten years. Lochab was instrumental in expanding Satair’s commercial footprint and cultivating strong customer relationships across the globe. Having collaborated closely with Lochab during their time at Satair, Hughes is expected to ensure a smooth continuation of the company’s strategic direction and customer-centric values.
To support a seamless leadership transition, Hughes will also temporarily serve as interim Managing Executive of VAS Aero Services while a permanent successor is sought. This interim arrangement will help ensure uninterrupted service for VAS Aero Services’ customers and partners, while maintaining alignment with Satair’s broader commercial goals.
This leadership shift marks a new chapter for Satair as it continues to evolve its global service offering and strengthen its position in the dynamic aerospace aftermarket landscape.
