LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions, a provider of technical workforce solutions and services to the aviation industry, has announced the acquisition of JMC Aviation, a global engineering solutions and aviation recruitment specialist headquartered in Exeter, United Kingdom. JMC Aviation delivers a wide range of technical solutions across the UK, the European Union, Canada and other international markets.
The acquisition brings together two highly complementary organisations, creating one of the largest specialised provider of technical aviation solutions. By combining LAUNCH’s market in the United States with JMC Aviation’s established international footprint, the transaction establishes a global leader in workforce solutions and technical services for manufacturing and MRO/aftermarket customers across commercial aerospace, business and general aviation, defence and rotary-wing markets.
As a combined organisation, LAUNCH will offer an expanded range of capabilities, including an enhanced suite of modification services and a mobile repair team, reinforcing its commitment to building a truly global technical services platform. The transaction also significantly expands LAUNCH’s pool of technical talent, strengthening its ability to deliver comprehensive workforce solutions at global scale.
LAUNCH is a portfolio company of Capitol Meridian Partners, a private equity firm with deep expertise in the aviation sector. Equity financing for the transaction was provided by Capitol Meridian Fund I, L.P. and its affiliates, with participation from members of both management teams. Debt financing was provided by LAUNCH’s existing lenders, MidCap Financial and Marathon Asset Management. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Following completion of the acquisition, LAUNCH’s Executive Chairman, Jeff Martin, will assume the additional role of Chief Executive Officer of both organisations. With more than 33 years of aviation experience and extensive senior executive and board-level leadership, Martin is well positioned to guide the business through its next phase of innovation, growth and international expansion, while continuing to shape its long-term strategic direction.
