Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has taken delivery of its second Airbus A350 aircraft. Registered HB-IFB, the A350-900 is the latest addition to the airline’s long-haul fleet. Unlike its sister aircraft, HB-IFA, which features the special “Wanderlust” livery, the newly delivered aircraft—named Delémont—wears the classic SWISS paint scheme. HB-IFB is scheduled to enter commercial service on February 23, operating the Zurich–Montreal route.
“Our first Airbus A350-900 has proven highly reliable during its first hundred days of operation,” said SWISS Chief Operating Officer Oliver Buchhofer. “We are delighted that each additional A350 delivery allows us to offer more customers our new SWISS Senses travel experience. Eight more of these efficient twin-engine aircraft will join our fleet in the coming years, each playing a key role in the ongoing modernisation of our long-haul operations.”
With the arrival of HB-IFB, SWISS now has two Airbus A350s in service. From the start of the 2026 summer timetable, the aircraft type will also be deployed on the Zurich–Boston and Zurich–Seoul routes. Further A350 deliveries are planned for later this year.
By steadily expanding its A350 fleet, SWISS is continuing the sustainable renewal of its long-haul aircraft while further enhancing the onboard experience for its customers. In parallel, the airline will begin a comprehensive refurbishment programme for its Airbus A330 fleet this year, with the aircraft being upgraded to feature the state-of-the-art SWISS Senses cabin.
