TrueNoord has delivered two ATR 72-600 aircraft on long-term operating leases to Just Udo Aviation Private Limited (FLY91). The first aircraft, MSN 1233, was delivered in late December 2025 and is already in service with the Indian regional airline. The second aircraft, MSN 1236, was delivered in mid-January and is expected to enter operations with FLY91 later this month.
One of the turboprops will be based in Goa, the headquarters of the pure-play Indian regional airline, while the other is expected to operate from Hyderabad. Both aircraft will support FLY91’s strategy of connecting underserved Tier 2 and Tier 3 city pairs across India.
Abhineet Awasthi, Commercial & Transaction Manager at TrueNoord, explained why FLY91 aligns well with the lessor’s strategy: “FLY91 is customer-focused, agile and execution-driven, with a transparent and hands-on leadership team. The business is built on disciplined operations and a clear regional connectivity strategy. From our first engagement through to delivery, the team demonstrated a pragmatic, solution-driven approach. We are pleased to welcome them as a lessee and to support their growth plans.”
The delivery of FLY91’s third and fourth aircraft represents another milestone in the airline’s planned expansion to a fleet of 30 aircraft by 2029. It also marks TrueNoord’s third customer in India, further expanding the lessor’s footprint in the region as it continues to build partnerships with ambitious airlines scaling their networks responsibly.
The transaction included a sale-and-leaseback of MSN 1233 with FLY91, while MSN 1236 was acquired from Danish Air Transport (DAT) on a back-to-back lease to the Indian carrier.
