AAR CORP. has entered into a new agreement with Otto Instrument Service to distribute and support the LASEREF IV inertial reference system product line. The partnership underlines AAR’s strategic objective to expand its OEM distribution portfolio within the business aviation segment.
Under the terms of the agreement, AAR will manage the availability and global distribution of the LASEREF IV system, supporting both replacement requirements and upgrade programmes. The LASEREF IV is a critical avionics component installed across a range of business aircraft platforms, providing precise inertial reference data essential for navigation and flight control. Ensuring reliable access to this equipment is therefore central to operational continuity and performance for operators.
The collaboration leverages Otto Instrument Service’s technical expertise in avionics manufacturing and product support, alongside AAR’s extensive global supply chain network, established distribution infrastructure, and comprehensive customer support capabilities. By combining these complementary strengths, the two companies aim to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce lead times, and provide responsive technical assistance to operators worldwide.
Frank Landrio, Senior Vice President of Distribution at AAR, stated that the agreement reinforces AAR’s position as a leading global distributor while broadening its reach within the business aviation market. He emphasised the company’s commitment, in coordination with Otto Instrument Service, to improving product availability, streamlining logistics, and supporting customers transitioning to advanced avionics technology.
Overall, the agreement represents a strategic alignment designed to strengthen market access, optimise supply chain performance, and support the continued modernisation of business aviation fleets.
