Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG), a global full-service aircraft asset manager, has announced the delivery of two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to Canadian carrier WestJet.
The deliveries complete a two-aircraft sale-and-leaseback transaction between ACG and WestJet. Both aircraft are powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines and were handed over in Seattle earlier this week.
Carter A. White, Chief Commercial Officer at ACG, said the company was pleased to finalise the transaction and further strengthen its long-standing relationship with WestJet. He noted that the addition of these modern, fuel-efficient aircraft will support the airline’s fleet expansion and ongoing growth strategy.
White also congratulated WestJet on the occasion of its 30th anniversary, expressing best wishes to the airline and its team for continued success in the years ahead.
