flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding low-cost carrier, has chosen a mix of European and Asian manufacturers to supply seating and cabin interiors for its new Airbus A330-900neo wide-body fleet. The airline is preparing to introduce ten aircraft, with the first scheduled to enter service in summer 2027.
The carrier has confirmed a two-class configuration comprising 406 Economy and 14 Premium Economy seats. The cabin design focuses on long-haul comfort, incorporating ergonomic reclining seats with enhanced lumbar and back support, adjustable headrests, USB-C charging ports, and ambient lighting to improve the onboard experience.
Italian manufacturer Geven will supply the Premium Economy cabin with its Comoda AQ seat, tailored for medium- to long-haul operations. The layout features a 2-3-2 configuration across two rows, offering a seven-abreast arrangement. Each seat provides a 38-inch pitch and up to 8 inches of recline, prioritising personal space and passenger comfort.
In Economy Class, flyadeal has selected Chinese manufacturer Jiatai, marking the company’s debut in the Middle East market. The customised seats are arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration, with up to 30 inches of pitch. The design emphasises efficient cabin layout while maintaining acceptable comfort levels for long-haul low-cost operations.
The A330-900neo’s range of over 11 hours will enable flyadeal to expand its network beyond the Kingdom into Asia, Europe and Africa, supporting the airline’s broader growth strategy.
Additional cabin elements have also been sourced from established suppliers. Safran Cabin will provide bespoke wide-body galleys designed to improve workspace efficiency for cabin crew during inflight service. Meanwhile, Swiss company Lantal Textiles will supply carpets and curtains, extending its existing relationship with flyadeal, having already been selected for the airline’s incoming narrow-body fleet.
The announcements were made at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, underscoring flyadeal’s focus on modern, cost-efficient cabin solutions for its long-haul expansion.
