AMAC Aerospace Turkey has redelivered three Boeing 737 aircraft following the completion of maintenance work at its facility in Bodrum.
The first aircraft, a VIP Boeing BBJ 737-900 operated by a long-standing AMAC Aerospace customer, underwent a C-check. Work included the removal and reinstallation of the cabin, galley, aft cargo compartment, auxiliary fuel tank, fan blade and forward dry area, alongside fan blade lubrication and the replacement of 42 oxygen generators.
A VIP Boeing BBJ 737 MAX was also redelivered following A1 and A2 inspections and out-of-phase maintenance. The scope included the removal and reinstallation of VIP seats and divans, engine washing and a borescope inspection of one engine. The flight management system (FMS) and enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS) databases were also updated.
The third aircraft, a commercial Boeing 737-800 belonging to another long-standing customer, underwent a C-check. The work included dry- and wet-area inspections and the removal and reinstallation of the auxiliary power unit (APU), galley, lavatory, forward and aft cargo areas, cabin ceiling and sidewalls.
Inspections identified cracks in the vapour barrier and upper hinge box of the galley door, resulting in additional avionics modification work.
