Munich Airport posted significant gains in passenger numbers in the first six months of the 2019 operating year. The latest figures set a new half-year record of 22.7 million passengers – an increase of approximately 5% as compared to the first six months of 2018. The number of passengers traveling with SAS increased slightly compared to the same month last year and reached the highest reported number for a single month. Unit revenue continues to develop favourably and increased by 4.8%. Scheduled capacity increased by 0.5% and the load factor for June fell slightly by 0.4 points to 82.6%.
Air France KLM has posted its total group passenger activity (Air France, KLM and Transavia) for June 2019. Traffic for the month increased 4.2%, while capacity was up 2.5% compared to the previous year. The load factor improved 1.5 points to 90.7%.
In June, Finnair carried 1,388,000 passengers, 11.9% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The overall capacity increased in June by 11.2% while Finnair’s traffic increased by 12.2%. The Passenger Load Factor increased year-on-year by 0.8% points to 86.2%.
Norwegian carried almost 3.5 million passengers in June. The company’s unit revenue improved by 10% compared to the same month in the previous year. Total traffic increased by 7% and capacity growth was 5%, compared to June 2018. The load factor improved 1.0 point to 91.5%.
Ryanair has released June traffic statistics, reporting a 13% increase in traffic, to 14.2 million passengers. The Group load factor for June was 97%.
Delta Air Lines has reported operating performance for June 2019. Total system traffic increased 6.2% in June, while capacity increased 4.0%, compared to the previous year. The load factor for June was 90.4%, an increase of 1.9 points when compared to June 2018.
Lufthansa Group airlines welcomed around 13.2 million passengers in May. This shows an increase of 2.8% compared to the previous year. Capacity for May was up 3.5% over the previous year, at the same time, traffic increased by 5.7%. In addition as compared to May 2018, the seat load factor increased by 1.7 points to
JetBlue Airways has released its preliminary traffic results for May 2019. Traffic in May increased 5.7% from May 2018, on a capacity increase of 5.4%. Load factor for May 2019 was 86.0%, an increase of 0.2 points from May 2018. JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor for May 2019 was 99.7%.
A total of 3,362,413 passengers chose to fly with Norwegian in May; 59,047 less than the same month previous year. The total traffic increased by 4%, while the capacity growth was 4% compared to May 2018. The load factor was 86.1% down 0.4 points.
