JetBlue reports February traffic increase of 6%

JetBlue Airways has reported its preliminary traffic results for February 2019. Traffic in February increased 6.0% from February 2018, on a capacity increase of 7.5%. Load factor for February 2019 was 81.5%, a decrease of 1.1 points from February 2018. JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor for February 2019 was 98.5% and its on-time performance was 70.0%.

WestJet reports February Load Factor of 87%

WestJet posted February 2019 traffic results with a load factor of 87.0%, an increase of 0.6 points year over year. Traffic increased 5.6% year over year, while capacity grew 4.9% over the same period. WestJet welcomed an additional 62,000 guests in February, a year over year increase of 3.2%.

Finnair Traffic Performance in February 2019

In February, Finnair carried 995,100 passengers, 4.0% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The overall capacity increased in February by 10.1% while Finnair’s traffic increased by 4.3% compared to February 2018. The Passenger Load Factor decreased year-on-year by 4.5% points to 79.7%.

JetBlue Airways has reported its preliminary traffic results for January 2019. Traffic in January increased 7.9% from January 2018, on a capacity increase of 9.9% compared to the previous year. Load factor for January 2019 was 80.4%, a decrease of 1.5 points from January 2018.

1.8 Million Passengers Flew with SAS in January

The number of passengers traveling with SAS’s scheduled traffic increased slightly compared to January 2018. At the same time, the passenger load factor and unit revenue increased. Compared to January 2018, capacity was unchanged while the number of passengers increased, leading to a 0.9 point increase in the load factor to 64.9%.

Norwegian reports 13% passenger growth in January

A total of 2,638,958 passengers chose to fly with Norwegian in January 305,026 (13%) more passengers than the same period last year. Total traffic increased by 18% and capacity increased by 27% when compared to January 2018. The load factor was 76.1% down 5.9 points from the previous year.

In January, Finnair carried 1,007,800 passengers, 4.4% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The overall capacity increased in January by 10.0%. Finnair’s traffic improved by 5.7%. The Passenger Load Factor decreased year-on-year by 3.1% points to 77.0%.

Delta reports operating performance for January 2019

Delta Air Lines has released its operating performance report for January 2019. Delta states that it carried 14.1 million customers in its network. Total system traffic for the month increased by 5.9% this year. The load factor for January remained flat at 79.7%., while total capacity over the previous year improved by 5.9%.
