United Airlines (UAL) has reported July 2018 operational results. UAL’s July 2018 consolidated traffic increased 6.9% and consolidated capacity increased 4.0% versus July 2017. UAL’s July 2018 consolidated load factor increased 2.4 points to 89.3% compared to July 2017.
SAS has reported that the scheduled number of passengers increased by 2.2% to 2.6 million in July 2018. Scheduled traffic and capacity increased by 1.9% and 3.0%, respectivel compared to the same period in 2017. Passenger load factor decreased by 0.9 points to 85.6%.
JetBlue Airways has reported its preliminary traffic results for July 2018. Traffic in July increased 6.2% from July 2017, on a capacity increase of 4.1%. Load factor for July 2018 was 88.9%, an increase of 1.8 points from July 2017.
In July 2018, the Lufthansa Group airlines welcomed around 14.2 million passengers. This shows an increase of 8.2% compared to the previous year’s month. Southwest Airlines has reported that traffic in July 2018 increased 2.1% comapared to July 2017, while capacity increased 3.2%. The July 2018 load factor was 86.3%, compared with 87.3% the previous year.
Hawaiian Airlines has reported its system-wide traffic statistics for the month ended July 31, 2018. Hawaiian welcomed nearly 1.1 million guests in July 2018, a record for the month of July and an increase of 3.2% over the same period last year. WestJet has announced July 2018 traffic results with a load factor of 85.2%, a decrease of 0.4 points year over year. Traffic increased 8.2% year over year, while capacity grew 8.7% over the same period. WestJet welcomed an additional 144,000 guests in July, a year-over-year increase of 6.5%.
Norwegian reported a new passenger record in July as it carried almost 3.8 million passengers in a single month. The total number of passengers increased by 13% compared to the same month previous year. The total traffic growth increased by 33% this month, driven by a 35% capacity growth. Oman Air, the National carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, is continuing its expansion across Europe by extending its codeshare agreement with Lufthansa. Under the expanded code share agreement, passengers can now travel on Oman Air flights from Muscat International Airport and connect to Madrid, Brussels, Vienna and Prague from Lufthansa’s Frankfurt and Munich hubs.
In July, Finnair carried 1,287,800 passengers, 15.2% more than in the corresponding period of 2017. The number of passengers grew in Asian traffic 9.0%, European traffic 15.1%, North America traffic 17.5% and domestic traffic 29.2%.
