Finnair traffic, measured in passenger kilometers, increased by 9.6% in April, while the capacity was up by 18.0%, resulting in a passenger load factor of 69.8% or 5.4 points lower than last year.

SAS Group’s traffic increased by 17.4% during April and seat capacity was up by 22.1% vs 2007. SAS Group carried 2.9 million passengers in April, up 17.9% vs 2007. The total load factor was down 2.8 p.u. to 69.1%.

Frontier Airlines Holdings announced preliminary traffic results for April 2008. Mainline traffic increased 7.7% for April 2008 from the same period last year, capacity increased 2.1% and the load factor for April 2008 of 81.5%, an increase of 4.3 points from April 2007.

Republic Airways reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2008. Traffic increased 28.1% over the same month last year, while capacity increased 28.5%. The load factor was 75.9% versus 76.2% in April 2007.

Air France Group reported that traffic rose by 2.6% on capacity increase by 5.4%, with April being the first month of the launch of the Summer program. The load factor stood at 80.0% (-2.3 points). The group carried 6.4 million passengers (+1.5%).

In April 2008, passenger capacity was 0.4% below April 2007 while traffic fell by 7.0%. This resulted in a passenger load factor decrease of 5.1 points versus last year, to 71.6%.

Delta Air Lines reported traffic results for April 2008. System traffic in April 2008 increased 2.5% over April 2007, with a capacity increase of 2.7%. Delta’s system load factor was 81.4% in April 2008, consistent with the same period last year.
