Delta Air Lines reported system traffic increased 2.5% in January 2008 on a capacity increase of 0.2%. The system load factor for the month was 75.4% an increase of 1.7 pts compared to the same period last year.

JetBlue Airways Corporation reported that its traffic in January increased 7.2% from January 2007, on a capacity increase of 8.0%. Load factor for January 2008 was 75.6%, a decrease of 0.5 points from January 2007.

Republic Airways Holdings reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2008. Trafffic increased 34.1% over the same month last year, while capacity increased 30.6%. Load factor was 65.6% versus 63.9% in January 2007.

United Airlines reported its preliminary traffic results for January 2008. The company reported a January passenger load factor of 76.5%, down 1.5 pts compared to January 2007. Traffic decreased in January by 5.3% on a capacity decrease of 3.4% compared with the same period in 2007.

Alaska’s January traffic increased 9.9%, capacity was 6.2% higher than in January 2007 and the passenger load factor for the month was 68.9% compared to 66.5% in January 2007. Horizon’s January traffic increased 7.2% while capacity during January was 4.9% higher than in January 2007. The passenger load factor for the month was 64.7%, compared

WestJet announced January traffic results with a record load factor of 76.2%. This was accompanied by a capacity increase of 15.7% and an improvement in traffic of 16.2%.

Southwest Airlines reported that traffic increased 5.9% in January 2008, capacity increased 5.3% and the load factor for the month was 64.2%, compared to 63.8% for the same period last year.

US Airways Group reported January 2008 traffic results. Traffic for the month was down 0.9% from January 2007. Capacity was down 2.7% from January 2007and passenger load factor for the month of January was 75.2%, up 1.4 points versus January 2007.

In January 2008, passenger capacity was 0.6% below January 2007 and traffic fell 1.6%. This resulted in a passenger load factor down 0.7 points versus last year, to 69.2%.

American Airlines reported a January load factor of 76.6% an improvement of 1.3 points compared to the same period last year. Traffic increased 0.2% year over year as capacity decreased 1.5 %.
