In May 2012, International Airlines Group (IAG) traffic rose by 6.6% versus May 2011, while Group capacity was up 5.9%. Group load factor was up 0.5 points to 78.6% compared to the previous year.

For the month of May, Air Canada reported a system load factor of 81.6%, versus 82.2% in May 2011, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points. System traffic increased 1.8% on a system-wide capacity increase of 2.5%.

StandardAero has delivered its 4,000th Rolls-Royce AE3007 engine since the program’s inception in 1997. Thai Airways Cargo operated its inaugural B747-400BCF flight to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, on May 23rd.
