United and Continental’s combined consolidated traffic in March 2011 decreased 2.2% versus pro forma March 2010 results on a consolidated capacity increase of 2.1%. The carriers’ combined consolidated load factor in March 2011 was down 3.5 points to 79.8% compared to the pro forma results from the same period last year.

Norwegian’s traffic for the month of March 2011 increased by 22%, while capacity increased by 27%. The load factor was 75 %, down 3 p.p. compared to the same period in 2010.

Ryanair reported that traffic in March 2011 increased 11% compared to the same period in 2010, while the load factor was flat at 79%.

SAS announced that March 2011 traffic increased by 0.3% and capacity for the month increased 7.6% vs same period 2010. The load factor was down 5.0 pts to 68.1%.

Southwest Airlines released that March 2011 traffic increased 9.8% compared to March 2010. Capacity increased 8.9% and the load factor for the month was 81.6% compared to 81.0% for the same period last year.
