Traffic

Norwegian reported total traffic growth increased by 24%, while the capacity growth increased by 23% compared to the same period in 2015. The load factor for the month of October was up by 0.6 points to 88.4% compared to the previous year.

In October, Finnair’s overall capacity grew by 3.9% and traffic grew by 2.1% year‐on‐year. The passenger load factor declined by 1.4 points to 79.9% compared to the same period in 2015.

SAS increased its scheduled capacity in October by 10.4% and the traffic grew 13% compared to the same period in 2015. The overall load factor was 78.7% up 1.8 points compared to October 2015.

In the first three quarters of the 2016 business year, the Fraport Group achieved revenue of €1.94bn, thus continuing its positive performance from the previous year. The Group’s operating result or EBITDA slightly declined by 2% to €677m in the first nine months, while the Group result dropped 9% to €239m. Likewise, operating cash flow

On a combined basis, Air Group reported a 5.5% increase in traffic on a 3.2% increase in capacity compared to October 2015. Load factor increased 1.9 points to 84.2%. These statistics include flights operated by Alaska, Horizon, and those under third-party capacity purchase agreements.    

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has set a new September record, welcoming a total of 5.9 million passengers in September 2016. JetBlue Airways reported its preliminary traffic results for September 2016. Traffic in September increased 10.8% from September 2015, on a capacity increase of 7.9%. Load factor for September 2016 was 83.2% percent, an increase of 2.1 points from September 2015.

In September, Finnair’s overall capacity measured in Available Seat Kilometres grew by 8.5% and traffic grew by 7.2% year- on‐year. The passenger load factor declined by 0.9 points year-on-year to 80.7%.

SAS’ traffic for September was up 7.6% compared to the same period in 2015, while capacity was up 7%. The load factor for the month was 77.6%, up 0.5 points when compared to September 2015.  

Ryanair released that traffic for the month of September grew 13% compared to the same period in 2015, and the load factor for September rose 1.0 point to 95% compared to the previous year.
