United Airlines (UAL) has reported September 2017 operational results. UAL’s September 2017 consolidated traffic decreased 1.6% and consolidated capacity increased 1.7% versus September 2016. UAL’s September 2017 consolidated load factor decreased 2.7 points to 80.5% compared to September 2016.

Hawaiian Airlines has announced its system-wide traffic statistics for the month of September. Traffic for September increased 6.3%, while capacity was up 4.3% compared to the previous year. The load factor increased 1.6 points to 86.6%.

Alaska Air Group has reported September operational results on a consolidated basis, for its mainline operations operated by subsidiaries Alaska Airlines and Virgin America and for its regional flying operated by subsidiary Horizon Air and third-party regional carriers SkyWest Airlines and Peninsula Airlines. In September 2017, some 6.2 million passengers traveled through Frankfurt Airport (FRA) – an increase of 5.4% on the previous year. This was the first time that FRA exceeded the six-million-passenger mark in a September month. With a total of 225,801 passengers served on September 29, 2017, a new daily passenger record was also reached.

London Gatwick has achieved the busiest-ever September in its history, as 4.5 million passengers travelled through the airport during the month, a 2.7% increase on last year. In September Finnair’s overall capacity increased by 10.6% year‐on‐year, and traffic grew by 16.9%. The number of passengers carried in September was 1.08 million, corresponding to an increase of 10.7% year-on-year. The passenger load factor increased by 4.6 points to 85.3%.

SAS reported that traffic for September 2017 increased 0.8% and capacity was up 2.7% compared to the same period in 2016. The load factor decreased by 1.4 points versus last year to 76.2%.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has reported global passenger traffic data for August showing that demand (measured in total revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs) climbed 7.2% compared to the year-ago period. Norwegian has reported that traffic increased by 29% in September 2017, while capacity was up by 28% compared to September 2016. The load factor for September was up 0.3 points to 90%.

International Airlines Group traffic in September increased by 3.1% versus September 2016, while Group capacity rose by 1.3% compared to the previous year. The load factor for September improved 1.5 points to 85.6%, compared to September 2016.
