Finnair and Finncomm Airlines have formed a joint venture, Finnish Aircraft Maintenance Oy (FAM), which will specialise in maintenance services for regional aircraft. Finnair and Finncomm Airlines will each own 50% of the company. The company has earlier operated as part of the Finncomm Group. The Civil Aviation Authority granted FAM an aircraft maintenance licence

SAS Technical Services (STS) and Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia A/S have agreed to a 3-year prolongation of the existing cooperation. A new contract has been signed and STS will accordingly, effective December 1st 2008, deliver line maintenance services to Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia, inclusive hangar A-check, field team assistance, engineering support and component consumables.

Aerosonic Corporation, a leading supplier of precision flight products for commercial, business and military aircraft, announced the Company has received a new order from Boeing to provide Angle of Attack transmitters for the F/A-18E/F super Hornet and EA-18G Growler valued at approximately $1.4 million with deliveries scheduled to begin in March 2009.
