Goodrich appoints President, Engine Components

Goodrich Corporation has appointed Daphne Falletti as President of its Engine Components business unit. Falletti, formerly vice president of Airbus programs for Goodrich’s Aerostructures business, will report to Jack Carmola, Segment President, Actuation and Landing Systems. Falletti replaces Bob Yancey who now leads Goodrich’s Engine Control and Electrical Power Systems business unit.

Production resumes on Boeing 787 Dreamliners with fifth flight-test airplane

Production of Boeing 787 Dreamliners resumed January 29th with the join of the fifth airplane designated for flight test. This airplane, designated ZA005, is the first to be powered with General Electric GEnx engines. The major assemblies were loaded in final body join over the past several days.
