Continental Airlines reported a December consolidated (mainline plus regional) load factor of 83.0%, 3.1 points above the December 2008 consolidated load factor. Consolidated traffic increased 6.0% and capacity increased 2.1% as compared to December 2008.
United Airlines reported its preliminary consolidated traffic results for December 2009. The company reported a December consolidated passenger load factor of 81.9%. Traffic figures were flat in December on a consolidated capacity decrease of 3.1% compared with the same period in 2008.
