US Airways Group announced February and year-to-date 2010 traffic results. Mainline traffic for the month was down 4.7% versus February 2009. Mainline capacity was down 5.3% versus February 2009 and the load factor for the month of February was 77.6%, up 0.4 points versus February 2009.
Allegiant Air reported preliminary passenger traffic results for February 2010. Allegiant reported that system traffic increased 18% in February 2010, while capacity increased 17% compared to the previous year. System load factor was up 0.8 pts to 88.2%.
Alaska reported an increase in load factor to 79.8% in February 2010, compared to 73.5% in February 2009, on a 2.4% decrease in capacity compared to the prior-year period. Alaska reported that traffic increased 5.9% in February 2010.
