BA reported that the first nine days of the month were affected by industrial activity by the Unite union representing cabin crew. In June 2010 traffic fell by 11.1% and capacity was down 8.6% compared to June 2009. This resulted in a passenger load factor decrease of 2.1 points versus last year, to 77.5%.

American Airlines reported a June load factor of 86.8%, an increase of 1.6 points versus the same period last year. Traffic increased 3.2% and capacity increased 1.3% year over year.
