SAS Group’s traffic increased by 5.4% during September and capacity increased 5% compared to the same period in 2010. The passenger load factor increased by 0.3 pts in September to 74.6%.

Norwegian's traffic increased 27% for September 2011

Norwegian’s traffic for the month of September 2011 was up by 27 % and capacity was up 20% compared to the same period last year. The load factor increased 3.3 pts to 81%.

IAG Group report load factor of 82.8% for September

Indian company Aviotech, a corporate and defense aerospace specialist, is to become launch customer for JSC’s (Sukhoi Civil Aircraft) business version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100. The relevant letter of intent for 10 SBJs in VIP configuration and 10 options was signed at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2011. The companies plan to start negotiations on the technical layout of the aircraft to be delivered in the nearest future.

Arik Air orders two Boeing 747-8 Intercontinentals

Boeing and Nigeria’s Arik Air announced a deal for two 747-8 Intercontinental airplanes. The order is valued at $635 million at list prices and was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing’s website.
