RwandAir places firm order for dual-class Bombardier Q400 NextGen Airliner

Bombardier Aerospace and RwandAir of Kigali, Rwanda have signed a firm purchase agreement for one Q400 NextGen turboprop airliner. Delta Air Lines announces March quarter profit of $85m

Delta’s net profit for the March 2013 quarter was $85m, excluding special items. This result is a $124m improvement year-over-year. Including $78m in special items, Delta’s GAAP net income was $7m. GECAS signs purchase and leaseback transaction with Spirit Airlines for six new Airbus A320s

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has signed a purchase and leaseback transaction with Spirit Airlines for six new Airbus A320 aircraft to expand the carrier’s fleet. GECAS delivered the first aircraft to Spirit in March. The remainder deliver in 2013 with all six aircraft coming from Spirit’s existing order book with Airbus.

Safran has reached an agreement with Rolls-Royce to acquire Rolls-Royce’s 50% share in their joint RTM322 helicopter engine programme.
