GE Aerospace will be fulfilling orders for 37 CF34-8E engines for Republic Airways' fleet of Embraer E170/175 regional jets. The order includes spares and an extension of the airline's TrueChoice™ services agreement.
The Indianapolis-based airline has an all-CF34-powered fleet. It operates 214 Embraer 170/175 aircraft and offers scheduled passenger service with nearly 1,000 daily flights to 80 cities in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
“Republic Airways is one of the largest CF34 operators and we are extremely proud that they continue to put their trust in our engines, operating these CF34-8Es day in and day out,” said Kathy MacKenzie, Vice President, GE Commercial Programs for GE Aerospace. “With our expanded services agreement, our mission is that the airline continues to receive the same high-quality MRO service and support that they have come to expect from GE Aerospace.”
“We are excited to extend this two-decade relationship with GE Aerospace with this order for CF34-8E engines and services,” said Bryan Bedford, President and CEO of Republic Airways.
More than 2,000 CF34-8E engines are in service with 46 operators, accumulating over 38 million flight hours and 27 million cycles since entering service on the Embraer E170/175 in 2004.
