Sunrise Airways has announced the appointment of Claudio Buncamper to the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). With 33 years of experience in the aviation industry, Buncamper will spearhead the carrier’s strategic marketing and business development initiatives as it aims to expand intra-regional flights connecting gateways across the Caribbean.
Before joining Sunrise Airways, Buncamper served as Director of Marketing and Sales at Windward Islands Airways International (Winair) for the past 23 years. His tenure with Winair also includes two years as Traffic Manager and six years in customer service and flight dispatch. Additionally, he managed the St. Maarten Station for BWIA for two years.

Sunrise Airways operates scheduled passenger service and charter flights from its hubs in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The carrier serves 11 gateways across five Caribbean destinations – Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti and St. Maarten. Additionally, Sunrise operates flights to/from Miami and Panama City, Panama.
