Ontic, a licensor and manufacturer of complex engineered parts for the aerospace and defence industries, has named Jack Karapetyan as Vice President and General Manager of Global MRO Operations. This appointment marks a significant new direction for Ontic's manufacturing, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.
Karapetyan's promotion is effective immediately, transitioning from his previous role as joint General Manager of Ontic's Chatsworth, CA site alongside Terry Streb. This move signifies Ontic's strengthened strategic focus on MRO. With a career dedicated to operational execution, Karapetyan has led numerous operational improvement programmes at the Chatsworth site, providing him with valuable insights to enhance current operations and secure new MRO business.
In his new role, Karapetyan will evaluate existing MRO operations, promote a unified global approach within Ontic and drive growth in this sector of the business.
Commenting on his new role, Karapetyan said: “I am thrilled to be taking on this new challenge at Ontic. There's a lot of work to do and I'm already in conversation with some customers. MRO is a cornerstone of our industry and I'm looking forward to expanding our operations in this area.”
As Karapetyan steps into his new position, Terry Streb will assume full responsibility for Ontic's Californian site as Vice President and General Manager of Chatsworth.
