Swiss-AS has released that SCAT Airlines, one of Kazakhstan’s leading carriers, has successfully launched AMOS. This significant achievement signifies the conclusion of an extensive transition period, facilitating the seamless integration and operation of AMOS within SCAT Airlines’ engineering and maintenance (E&M) department.
Although the agreement between SCAT Airlines and Swiss-AS was signed in the summer of 2021, the implementation of AMOS underwent multiple phases, necessitating meticulous planning and collaboration between the two entities.
The project commenced with a comprehensive review of existing processes, rigorous testing, and extensive training programmes.
Data migration, a critical aspect of any implementation, posed a significant challenge for SCAT Airlines as data was sourced from various channels, demanding substantial time and effort from the project team. Thanks to the determination and dedication of both parties, the AMOS implementation phase concluded in February 2023.
However, to facilitate a smooth transition from previous manual and analogue processes to the more efficient AMOS procedures, SCAT Airlines chose to undergo a transition phase utilising both solutions concurrently. Due to fleet restructuring and internal developments, this transition phase has been extended until now.
The eagerly awaited AMOS Go-Live for SCAT Airlines has now been finalised, with the airline fully operational with the system. This significant milestone marks a new chapter for the airline, enabling it to reap the benefits of enhanced operational and maintenance efficiency.
