Embraer has achieved a new delivery milestone on the world's favoured small, narrow-body aircraft programme: the handover of the 1800th E-Jet production aircraft. The latest E190-E2, owned by Azorra, was delivered to Royal Jordanian Airlines today at Embraer's facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
E-Jets have achieved worldwide success in the fleets of 90 airlines and leasing companies spanning over 60 countries since the debut of the first aircraft in service in 2004. The E190-E2 belongs to a lineage of cutting-edge E-Jets, renowned for being the quietest, least polluting, and most fuel-efficient aircraft in the under-150-seat market. Over two decades of service, E-Jets have transported two billion passengers on 26 million flights, covering a distance of 140 million kilometres.
“We're always looking for ways to make our aircraft better – reducing operating costs, extending maintenance intervals, and adding new technology. Later this year we will announce a number of performance improvements for the E2, which has also proven it is ready to fly on 100% SAF. The E2 continues to demonstrate its advantages in fuel burn, emissions, quietness, reliability, and passenger comfort, and airlines are taking notice.” comments Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation.
