Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey relies on the expertise of Timbra and Goldbeck for its growth. The construction and service company Goldbeck, in cooperation with real estate project developer, the Timbra Group, is realizing a new forward-looking expansion of warehouse and logistics capacities for the aircraft engine maintenance specialist in Alzey, Rhineland-Palatinate.
In the presence of Daniela Schmitt (Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate), Steffen Jung (Mayor of Alzey), Heiner Illing (Member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament) and Heiko Sippel (District Administrator of the Alzey-Worms district), the construction work, which began in March, has now been officially inaugurated. The new building will serve as a storage and logistics centre for aircraft engines, and engine spare parts for Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey. This will expand the already 242,000 square feet of factory premises with an additional logistics area of approximately 110,000 square feet.
The 100% subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG repairs and overhauls engines for regional and business aircraft as well as the latest-generation of engines for medium-range jets in Alzey. Additionally, it offers further services such as around-the-clock on-site service or leasing solutions.
