The Cessna SkyCourier twin utility turboprop aircraft has been granted type certification by the Australia Certification and Accreditation Service Agency (ACASA), marking a significant milestone for the aircraft’s deployment in remote communities and enhancing regional connectivity throughout Australia. This certification follows closely on the heels of the first SkyCourier order in Australia, announced three months ago at the Singapore Airshow.

Meticulously crafted to deliver exceptional performance, steadfast reliability, and cost-effective maintenance, the Cessna SkyCourier is poised to meet the diverse aviation needs of the region. With the capability of being operated by a single pilot and boasting a generous payload capacity, the SkyCourier emerges as the ultimate solution for air freight, passenger transport, and special-mission requirements. Its adaptability allows for effortless configuration adjustments, ensuring it can effectively undertake virtually any mission, delivering a significant return on investment.

The Cessna SkyCourier offers a compelling blend of performance and reduced operating costs for air freight, commuter and special mission operators. It is available in both freighter and passenger configurations, with the option for a gravel kit. The 19-passenger variant boasts crew and passenger doors for seamless boarding, along with expansive cabin windows providing abundant natural light and scenic views. Both configurations feature single-point pressure refuelling, facilitating faster turnarounds.

The freighter variant is equipped with a spacious door and a flat floor cabin capable of accommodating up to three LD3 shipping containers, with an impressive payload capacity of 6,000 pounds.

Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-65SC turboprop engines mounted on the wings, the SkyCourier is outfitted with the McCauley Propeller C779, a robust 110-inch aluminium four-blade propeller designed to enhance aircraft performance while carrying substantial loads. Operated with Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, the SkyCourier can achieve a maximum cruise speed exceeding 200 knots and offers a maximum range of 900 nautical miles.
