CTS Engines (CTS), an independent jet engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider, has named Bill Kircher, currently Executive Vice Chairman of CTS, to the expanded role of Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice Chairman. He succeeds Vesa Paukkeri, who will be transitioning to the role of Chief Commercial Officer, based in Helsinki, Finland, to focus on top-line growth.
With over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, Kircher brings extensive knowledge of turbofan engines, operational excellence, and a comprehensive array of MRO solutions to the CTS team. He has held multiple executive leadership positions at prominent aerospace companies, including four years at Triumph Group as Executive Vice President of Triumph Systems and Support. Bill also spent 18 years with United Technologies in various leadership roles, including President of Pratt & Whitney's MRO operations in Asia, based in Singapore.
“We are thrilled to have Bill Kircher's leadership and experience at the helm of CTS Engines. Bill will be an integral part of growing CTS as we embark on the journey to serve our customers from our 216,000 ft² new state-of-the-art facility,” said Stephen Brooks, Chairman of the Board of CTS. “I want to thank Vesa Paukkeri for his leadership and continued commitment to the success of CTS and look forward to Bill and Vesa's combined leadership of CTS.”
“I am excited to take the helm of an organisation that stands at the forefront of mature engine MRO. The opportunity to lead a team of such dedicated and skilled professionals is not just an honour, but a profound responsibility. Together, we will continue to grow our business while ensuring our commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation exceeds industry standards,” said Kircher, CTS's new CEO.
