TP Aerospace will be providing MRO services to support Croatia Airlines' requirements for the A220 wheels. The service will primarily be delivered from TP Aerospace's new flagship facility in Brno, Czech Republic.
“Croatia Airlines is happy to announce the widening of our cooperation with TP Aerospace. After five years of successful A320 wheel and brake maintenance through a CFR agreement, TP Aerospace won a tender for A220 wheel maintenance for Croatia Airlines' fleet,” said Tomislav Imprić, Technical Director at Croatia Airlines.
“That will help us with a smooth and safe start of operating the A220 as a new type of aircraft in Croatia Airlines' fleet. Croatia Airlines plans to perform a fleet transition and become a single-type operator by 2027 with a fleet consisting of 15 A220 aircraft,” concluded Imprić.
The MRO service agreement for A220 wheels is scheduled to commence at the beginning of July 2024.
Croatia Airlines is an existing programmes customer of TP Aerospace through an A320 cycle-flat-rate programme, and this new A220 contract further strengthens their relationship. This additional agreement with the carrier enables TP Aerospace to expand its global capability by incorporating the A220 platform.
Croatia Airlines is the flag carrier of Croatia and operates primarily domestic and international destinations in Europe. Since 2004, the airline has been a member of the Star Alliance.
