LOT Polish Airlines (LOT) and Lufthansa Technik (LHT) are strengthening their cooperation with a new engine maintenance services (EMS) contract for the CFM56-7B engines of the airline's Boeing 737NG fleet. In addition to the 11 planned overhauls, of which the first recently commenced and will be performed at Lufthansa Technik's headquarters in Hamburg, the MRO provider will support LOT with two lease engines to ensure the airline's operational stability.
Dorota Dmuchowska, COO at LOT Polish Airlines, said: “After the successful start of our relatively new cooperation, we are convinced that Lufthansa Technik's technical expertise – also in the field of Engine Maintenance – will further enhance our operational stability for the coming years. Our partner has shown a deep understanding of our individual requirements and has demonstrated its flexibility in adapting its offerings.”
