Vallair, a multi-disciplinary MRO and mature aircraft asset specialist, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the College de Paris International to collaborate on a wide range of aeronautical skills training, certification and development programmes. These will be delivered by Aircraft Academy, a Vallair Group company.
Grégoire Lebigot, President of Vallair Group, said: “The Vallair Group is uniquely positioned as we offer a wealth of experience and expertise across many aeronautical disciplines under one roof. We have always been committed to training across all our capabilities, and our senior team is dedicated to passing on knowledge to the next generation of engineers. The world needs skilled aircraft technicians, and as an aeronautical company, we believe it is our responsibility to invest in ensuring a steady supply of well-trained and enthusiastic professionals.
“Our facilities in Châteauroux and Montpellier, which include maintenance hangars for both narrow- and wide-body aircraft, align with our aerostructure and engine shops, disassembly programmes, and aircraft mechanic training schemes via Aircraft Academy. We are ideally placed to partner with the College de Paris, the second-largest private education provider in France. Our goal is to expand their connections with aviation businesses in France while showcasing our capabilities to their extensive network.”
Guillaume Finck, Director General of College de Paris International, noted that the College de Paris network will benefit from this new aeronautical association with Vallair Group. “Our focus has always been on offering exciting global employment opportunities to our 25,000 candidates in France and abroad. This programme will help us attract international candidates with technical diplomas who aspire to become aircraft mechanics or avionics technicians. We are excited to work with Aircraft Academy and to offer Structured On-Job Training (SOJT) at Vallair’s MRO facilities in Châteauroux and Montpellier, which is a significant advantage for trainee mechanics.”
Armel Jezequel, CEO of Aircraft Academy, outlined the training available from Q4 2024. “Aircraft Academy provides dedicated theoretical and practical EASA Part 147 training for individuals, MROs, airlines, and military organisations worldwide. Our focus is on the quality and adaptability of training rather than the quantity of students. This approach allows us to attract discerning students, from those pursuing Part 66 Basic Training to already-licensed engineers seeking practical experience. Aircraft Academy’s courses are designed to equip technicians with the skills needed in today’s challenging MRO environment, offering flexible, relevant, and cutting-edge maintenance training solutions to develop high-class Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.”
