Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS) has announced the commencement of the AMOS implementation project at airBaltic. The Latvian national airline will adopt AMOS to streamline and enhance its aircraft maintenance operations.
The decision to opt for AMOS followed a rigorous evaluation process. After considering various alternatives, AMOS was chosen for its robust capabilities, flexibility and alignment with airBaltic’s objectives.
As part of the implementation project, which is expected to span 18 months, airBaltic will adopt the AMOS Airline/MRO Edition, including AMOSmobile/EXEC. The project encompasses a comprehensive service package to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
The software will be utilised to manage airBaltic’s expanding fleet, which currently comprises 48 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with plans to operate a single-type fleet of up to 100 A220-300s by 2030.
airBaltic, renowned for its innovative approach to air travel, is the first airline in the world to exclusively operate the Airbus A220-300. This state-of-the-art aircraft, designed for efficiency and comfort, underscores airBaltic’s commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience. The airline’s focus on modernising its fleet and operations reflects its forward-thinking philosophy and dedication to enhancing passenger service.
The implementation of AMOS is a strategic move by airBaltic to increase operational efficiency, improve data accuracy, and support its growth. With its advanced features, it will enable airBaltic to achieve excellent maintenance management, streamlined workflows, and optimised resource utilisation.
