The Government of Poland has formalised a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) for 96 Boeing AH-64E Apache combat helicopters, as part of the Polish KRUK Attack Helicopter programme. This agreement follows a recent announcement by the Polish Ministry of National Defence regarding an offset deal with Boeing. The offset agreement includes the maintenance and support of the Polish Armed Forces' Apache fleet by the Polish defence industry, as well as the establishment of training programmes and the development of a composite laboratory.
These offset projects are designed to bolster the sustainment capabilities of Poland's defence sector, create highly skilled jobs and drive technological advancements, thereby delivering substantial economic benefits.
“Poland's decision to acquire 96 aircraft marks the largest FMS order in the history of Boeing's Vertical Lift division and will make Poland our 19th global Apache customer and the largest operator outside of the United States,” said Kathleen Jolivette, Vice President and General Manager of Vertical Lift.
Boeing has been producing the AH-64 Apache for over 40 years at its facility in Mesa, Arizona. The AH-64E is the most advanced configuration of the Apache, blending a proven design with cutting-edge technologies to offer unparalleled performance and versatility. Currently, more than 1,290 Apaches are in operation worldwide, with Boeing Global Services providing sustainment and training support.
The Polish Government selected the AH-64E Apache for its new attack helicopter fleet in September 2022.
