Iraqi Airways has renewed its partnership with SITA, the prominent provider of information technology services in the air transport sector, to sustain its commitment to continuous innovation in passenger and baggage management systems, enhancing the travel experience on board the Green Bird and its partner airlines.
A key element in upgrading the travel experience will be the implementation of SITA’s Flex Hybrid system. This will accelerate passenger processing at Baghdad and Basra airports, enabling staff to access airline systems and applications quickly and securely through a flexible and scalable cloud infrastructure designed to meet fluctuating demand.
Iraqi Airways will also enhance its baggage management capabilities with SITA Bag Manager Online, providing advanced visibility of each bag’s journey. This solution tracks every bag loaded onto a plane, ULD, or cart, matches each bag with departing passengers, monitors them in real-time throughout the airport, and ensures they are loaded onto the correct plane. This offers passengers peace of mind while allowing staff to focus on more complex tasks.
Lastly, SITA’s Information Display System will modernise the airline’s flight display systems, featuring a sleek interface that keeps travellers fully informed with real-time automatic updates on changing flight departure or arrival times.
