Batam Aero Technic (BAT) has announced an enhanced collaboration with maintenance, repair and exchange (MRE) expert FTAI Aviation and its partner, Vortex Aviation, for in-situ CFM56 module replacements. BAT provides the support and facilities for replacing the LPT module and fan booster, enabling a swift turn-around solution for CFM56 engines, with both engines being serviced simultaneously.
Recently, SpiceJet's VT-SLC, a 737-900ER aircraft, was ferried to Batam Aero Technic for in-situ CFM56 module replacements by Vortex Aviation and FTAI Aviation, completing the process, including a demonstration flight, in just two weeks.
