Textron Aviation has announced the delivery of its 400th Cessna Citation Latitude business jet to long-time customer Simmons Foods, a family-owned company based in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, established in 1949. The new aircraft will enhance the efficiency of Simmons Foods' business travel, complementing its existing fleet of three Citation jets that are vital for managing operations across multiple locations. Since its certification in 2015, the Citation Latitude has been the world's most-delivered midsize business jet for eight consecutive years, earning customer praise for its reliability, versatility, and impressive 2,700-nautical mile range.
Featuring a flat-floor cabin with ample space for nine passengers, the Citation Latitude can fly non-stop between destinations such as New York and Los Angeles or Vancouver and Guatemala City. The aircraft is a popular choice for a wide range of operations, including corporate travel, charters, personal use, air ambulance services, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, utility transport, aerial surveys, flight inspections, training, and other specialised missions.
Todd Simmons, CEO of Simmons Foods, remarked that the company's fleet of Citation jets has significantly enhanced its operational capabilities, enabling it to serve customers, employees and farmers more effectively. Guided by the company's values of integrity, respect, hard work, and innovation, Simmons noted that the Latitude's performance and reliability make it a perfect fit for their business.
