CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing (CDB Leasing), has announced the delivery of an Airbus A330-300 P2F (passenger-to-freighter) aircraft to a new customer in Turkiye, MNG Havayollari ve Tasimacilik A.S. (MNG Airlines).
The A330 P2F, a highly sought-after aircraft offering greater cargo capacity and lower cost-per-tonne than other freighter types with a similar range, will support MNG Airlines in achieving its ambitious growth and fleet modernisation goals.
CDB Aviation's Chief Executive Officer, Jie Chen, expressed enthusiasm for welcoming MNG Airlines as their newest customer in the EMEA region, highlighting the importance of expanding their fleet of efficient medium-sized freighters to support airline customers in modernising fleets and enhancing cargo operations.
Ali Sedat Özkazanç, Chief Executive Officer of MNG Airlines, noted that as the aviation industry undergoes transformation, the role of cargo transport has become increasingly critical. He emphasised that the addition of the new A330-300 P2F aircraft to their fleet, alongside their existing A330 P2Fs, not only strengthens the cooperation between MNG Airlines and CDB Aviation but also aligns with MNG Airlines' growth strategy. The new aircraft will boost their cargo capacity, expand their regional and international network, and contribute to their sustainability goals by reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
