The U.S. Navy has selected StandardAero as the prime contractor for depot-level repair services on Rolls-Royce T56-A-427A engines, supporting its fleet of E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. The contract, which includes a base year and four option years, totals US$315,734,572 and was awarded to StandardAero on August 14, 2024, following a competitive evaluation process.
StandardAero has been serving as a subcontractor to Rolls-Royce for T56-A-427A engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services since 2021. The company’s extensive experience in supporting this critical aircraft, essential to aircraft carrier and strike group missions, was key to its continued selection for the contract.
“StandardAero’s delivery of high-quality MRO services ensures the fleet’s needs and mission readiness,” said Rick Pataky, Vice President and General Manager of StandardAero’s Military Programmes in San Antonio, Texas. “We are proud to continue our partnership with the U.S. Navy. As a Navy veteran myself, I have a deep appreciation for the mission carried out by the aircraft that our engines power.”
StandardAero provides these services from its multiple overhaul facilities located in Winnipeg, Canada; San Antonio, U.S.; and Fleetlands, U.K.
