West Star Aviation has announced the appointment of Ray Sharp to Director of Maintenance at their East Alton, Illinois (ALN) facility, where he will oversee all maintenance programmes.
Ray Sharp began his career as an Airframe and Powerplant technician at Cessna before moving on to StandardAero, where he spent 25 years. During his time there, he progressed to the role of Director of Operations, managing both the airframe and avionics departments within the corporate aviation division. His experience spans a wide range of aircraft, including Falcon, Hawker, Lear, Cessna, Challenger, and Gulfstream models.
“Ray brings a wealth of knowledge in business aviation maintenance, avionics, and modifications to his new role,” said Brian Bauwens, Vice President/General Manager at West Star Aviation's ALN facility. “His extensive experience in the aviation industry makes him an excellent fit for this position.”
