Satair, an Airbus Services company and a front-runner in the commercial aerospace aftermarket, has announced the opening of its new Logistics & Service Centre in Hamburg, Germany. Situated in the Wilhelmsburg area, the 56,500 m² facility is the largest warehouse within the Airbus Group, marking a significant expansion of Satair's global presence. The new centre will primarily manage tools and large parts, including long-term storage and kits.
This facility is Satair's second in Hamburg, complementing the existing Service & Logistics Centre in Fuhlsbüttel, which handles small and medium-sized parts. Together, these centres form an integrated warehouse solution, creating a robust logistics network across both locations.
Thomas Moik, COO of Satair, commented, “Strategically positioned in Wilhelmsburg, our new facility complements our existing operations in Hamburg, aiming for enhanced customer satisfaction while also ensuring company growth. This expansion significantly enhances our ability to serve customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, in particular, while also reinforcing our global service reach.”
Looking ahead, Satair intends to further enhance the Wilhelmsburg facility by adding in-house carpentry for customised shipping solutions and introducing tool repair services, reinforcing its commitment to providing comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for customers worldwide.
