BOC Aviation has announced the placement of two Airbus A320neo aircraft with new customer Nouvelair, Tunisia's first private airline. These aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, are set for delivery later this year. Paul Kent, Chief Commercial Officer (Europe, Americas and Africa) at BOC Aviation, emphasised the company's enthusiasm for expanding its presence in the rapidly growing North African aviation market. He noted that the modern A320neo aircraft will enhance Nouvelair's fleet by improving both its modernity and operational efficiency.
Nouvelair's General Manager, Chokri Zarrad, welcomed the collaboration with BOC Aviation, viewing it as a step towards a long-term partnership. He highlighted the airline's goal to modernise its fleet by introducing environmentally-friendly aircraft. With the addition of these A320neos, Nouvelair will reach a total of 15 aircraft by the third quarter of 2024. Zarrad stressed that the airline is committed to meeting passenger expectations for comfort and environmental sustainability, as well as maintaining the operational efficiency that has underpinned Nouvelair's success. The Airbus A320neo, with its advanced technology, will help reduce fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions, aligning with the airline's sustainability goals.
