AAR CORP. a prominent aviation services provider, has been awarded a five-year contract worth up to US$1.2 billion from the U.S. Navy's Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide maintenance and support for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. This indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract tasks AAR with providing depot airframe maintenance and field team support for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft, a key part of the U.S. Navy's fleet. The contract also covers the government of Australia and foreign military sales (FMS) customers.
This contract reinforces AAR's ongoing strategic partnership with NAVAIR, extending the company's role in maintaining the P-8A Poseidon. AAR will deliver a range of services including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, in-service repairs, technical directive incorporations, airframe modifications, and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) support. These efforts will help ensure the operational readiness of the P-8A Poseidon, an aircraft critical for maritime patrol and reconnaissance missions.
