Liebherr-Aerospace (Liebherr) and EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING have signed a major three-year agreement for heat transfer maintenance services. Under this partnership, the two companies will provide maintenance and re-coring services for heat transfer equipment on-board the Airbus A320ceo/neo fleet operated by EGYPTAIR and other airlines with existing MRO contracts.
The re-coring and repairs will take place at Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc. in Michigan, U.S.A., which has been Liebherr's centre of excellence for heat transfer equipment maintenance in the Americas for decades.
By localising support and reducing reliance on external services, the agreement positions EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING as a key player in driving operational efficiency for airlines across Africa and the Middle East. This partnership will help minimise turnaround times, enhance responsiveness, and ensure world-class maintenance solutions tailored to clients' needs.
“This agreement sets out the framework of a win-win partnership for both parties,” said Alex Vlielander, Chief Customer Officer of Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS. Eng. Ibrahim Fathy, Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING, praised the collaboration, highlighting Liebherr's high level of performance and flexibility in meeting the requirements of EGYPTAIR and its customers.
