Trax, a global provider of paperless aviation maintenance and engineering software, has announced the successful transition of WestJet to a paperless and mobile fleet maintenance operation. This achievement is part of WestJet’s ongoing digital transformation journey, supported by Trax’ advanced software solutions.
WestJet has implemented the web-based eMRO version along with multiple eMobility apps—hosted on the Trax Cloud environment—to enhance offline user experience and streamline work processes. Additionally, WestJet integrated Trax’s QuickTurn, TaskControl and Line Control apps to gain further efficiencies. This implementation marks yet another milestone in the expansion of Trax’ customer base, as more airlines adopt its comprehensive applications and technology services to support a digital approach to aviation maintenance.
The eMRO product is a device-agnostic, web-based application that provides a complete maintenance and engineering system with integrated information flow, enabling users to stay connected from any location. Combined with mobile apps, the enterprise system maximises mobility, allowing users to access documentation and electronic data, view assigned maintenance tasks, receive real-time updates on ongoing and completed work and utilise integrated materials modules.
“With the technical aspects managed by Trax Cloud hosting, WestJet can focus on what we do best — maintaining our fleet, flying and successfully serving our customer base,” said Gandeephan Ganeshalingam, Vice President of Technical Operations at WestJet. “The implementation of additional Trax solutions will enable us to stay focused on quality and compliance while further modernising our operation. We’re grateful for the continued partnership and look forward to our digital future with Trax.”
