AJW Group has announced the extension of its power-by-the-hour (PBH) contract with Brazilian cargo operator Modern Logistics. Initially signed in 2017 as AJW Group's first PBH agreement in Brazil, the contract now includes Modern Logistics' new fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft, in addition to its existing B737CL freighter. This development marks a significant milestone in AJW Group's growing presence in Latin America.
As a member of the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA), AJW Group has reaffirmed its commitment to the region by recently opening an office in Mexico City. The PBH contract provides comprehensive component coverage, high-quality repairs through its Montreal-based AJW Technique facility and expert logistics solutions, serving over 1,000 airlines across more than 100 countries.
Mario Fernandes da Costa, CFO Modern Logistics, commented: “For the past years, AJW has been a crucial strategic partner in our mission to bridge distances, connecting people and businesses. AJW's agile and efficient support ensures our safety and efficiency levels, allowing us to focus on creating unique logistics solutions for our clients.”
In line with its growth strategy, AJW Group has also announced the promotion of Wilmer Lopez to Managing Director – AJW Latin America. With over 24 years of aviation experience, Lopez will continue to drive the company's success from its regional office in Mexico City.
