AerCap has entered into lease agreements with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) for six new Airbus CFM LEAP-powered aircraft, consisting of three A320neos and three A321neos, scheduled for delivery in 2026.
The agreement was signed by Samir Rzayev, President of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC and Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of AerCap.
Peter Anderson expressed excitement over the partnership, stating that the A320neo and A321neo will enable AZAL to expand its network and modernise its fleet with advanced, fuel-efficient aircraft. Samir Rzayev highlighted that these new leases will enhance AZAL’s fleet replacement and service offerings, meeting passenger needs and supporting the airline’s expansion plans.
